Our story began around the kitchen table with a glass of freshly pressed apple juice, hand pressed by Papa Joe Benson, harvested from the trees in the orchards at the Benson’s family farm. It was the best we’d ever tasted and we knew then we had something worth sharing!
AND SO IT BEGAN...
Back home in the Cotswolds we bought six barrels of mixed English apples from local fruit farmers and drove them up to the family farm in Northumberland. We milled and pressed the apples and brought the juice back to the Cotswolds to pasteurise, using a hand-made pasteuriser.
We took a chance and launched our delicious juices at Womad Festival, where we sold out on the first day- and the rest, as they say, is history!
