Welcome to Bensons!

It started with a juice press, and a horsebox!

It was in 1999 when Lexi and her farmer husband, Bean, spotted an old juice press on his father’s farm and decided to try pressing some local apples. The results were so delicious that they bottled them, packed them into an old horsebox and drove them to local festivals and farmers' markets to try to sell them. The experiment was so successful that they decided to set up a family juice business that would support the British farming economy and the countryside that they loved. They based themselves at a stunning National Trust farm in the heart of the Cotswolds, where the business can still be found today.

AND SO IT BEGAN...

Back home in the Cotswolds we bought six barrels of mixed English apples from local fruit farmers and drove them up to the family farm in Northumberland. We milled and pressed the apples and brought the juice back to the Cotswolds to pasteurise, using a hand-made pasteuriser.

We took a chance and launched our delicious juices at Womad Festival, where we sold out on the first day- and the rest, as they say, is history!

Farmers turned Juicers

Supporting British farmers has always been at the heart of what we do. As second-generation farmers turned juicers, the Benson family knows the challenges growers face and works closely with local apple farmers to source the best British varieties like Gala, Braeburn and Jonagold. For more exotic flavours, we choose the finest, most sustainable ingredients at their peak – from Herefordshire blackcurrants and Scottish raspberries to Alphonso mangoes from India and Valencia oranges.

Putting our family name on our juices means everything to us, so we will always be focused on delivering the very best
