The team BEHIND our JUICES
At the heart of everything we do is our fantastic Bensons team, based at our National Trust Farm. This brilliant group of people makes sure every step, from growing our apples, or running our office, through to packaging our juices, is carried out with care and kept at the highest quality. We couldn’t do it without them; every bottle really is a team effort!
Lexi – Founder and Managing Director
Lexi is one of the original founders of Bensons alongside Bean, and now leads the team while working closely with clients and growers every day. Back in 1999, Lexi and her family saw a gap in the market for proper apple juice made from real British fruit with no shortcuts. What began around the kitchen table with a few crates of apples has grown into the Bensons you know today. From those early festival stalls to running a thriving family business in the Cotswolds, Lexi has always kept the same values at the heart of Bensons: support local farmers, keep things natural, and create drinks that bring people together. Outside of work, Lexi enjoys cheering on her grown-up children at rugby and hockey matches, walking her dogs in the countryside, and playing padel. Her approach to business and life is simple: focus on quality, sustainability, and passion in everything she does.Bean – Co-Founder and Managing Director
Bean is one of the original founders of Bensons and now oversees the day-to-day running of the business, keeping everything from production and sales to planning and new product development running smoothly. His favourite part of the job is working with the brilliant Bensons team and connecting with customers across the country. When he’s not leading the charge at Bensons, you’ll find him cheering on his kids at their sports matches or walking his slightly mad but much-loved Serbian rescue dog, Lola. At Bensons, Bean is most proud of the team’s creativity and can-do attitude, especially their ability to take on any new product development challenge and make it a success.
Sharon – Office Manager
Sharon keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes at Bensons. From organising the office and staying on top of paperwork to making sure the team has everything they need, she ensures the day runs seamlessly.
Outside of Bensons, Sharon is married with three grown-up children and three dogs, so there is never a quiet moment at home. She enjoys reading and spending time with friends at her book club, often with a glass of wine in hand.
Her favourite Bensons drink is Sparkling Raspberry for its pink can and fruity fizz.
Mike – Production Manager
Mike is our brilliant Production Manager at Bensons, keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. He loves working with such a great team, although he is not quite as keen when it is minus five degrees in the production area.
A lifelong Liverpool FC fan, Mike’s passion for teamwork shines through both on and off the pitch.
His favourite Bensons drink is Apple & Raspberry, refreshing, fruity, and full of flavour.
Sam – Production Team
Sam is part of our dedicated Production Team at Bensons, making sure every product is made safely, correctly, and to the highest standard. Always eager to learn, Sam takes pride in developing new skills and ensuring every batch meets our quality promise.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys long walks in the woods and snacking on fresh berries. With a baby on the way, there is plenty of excitement ahead for the whole family.
Known for feeding the birds during lunch breaks, including a friendly robin, and bringing plenty of fun and personality to the team, Sam helps make Bensons a great place to work.
Sam’s favourite Bensons drink is Apple & Raspberry for its zingy, delicious flavour.
Emily - office and Logistics co-ordinator
Emily is our Office and Logistics Coordinator, keeping everything running smoothly across the Bensons team. From ordering supplies and managing deliveries to ensuring every order reaches customers on time, she handles it all with calm efficiency. Her favourite part of the role is using her problem-solving skills and working with a small, friendly, and good-humoured team.
Outside of work, Emily lives with her five-year-old daughter and her four-year-old Lurcher, Teddy. Their days are filled with baking, singing, dancing, and plenty of Disney magic.
Emily’s go-to drinks are Bensons Elderflower & Apple in the summer, crisp and refreshing over ice, and Bensons Mulled Apple & Cinnamon in the winter, especially when she feels a cold coming on.
Eleanor Francis: Executive Assistant
Eleanor’s role at Bensons involves a bit of everything. Mainly focused on Marketing and Sales, she’s often out visiting customers, getting involved at events, or helping behind the scenes at photo shoots.
At the weekends, Eleanor can usually be found spending time with her two cocker spaniels, at a Pilates class, or enjoying a Gin & Tonic.
Favourite Bensons product: In the colder months, it has to be the Winter Mulled Apple & Cinnamon – the perfect cosy treat!
