Every year on the 21st of October, National Apple Day shines a light on one of Britain’s most loved fruits. It began back in 1990 as a way to celebrate the incredible variety of apples grown across the country and to remind us just how important local orchards are to our landscape and communities.
For us at Bensons the Family Juicers, Apple Day feels especially close to our hearts. We started as third-generation farmers (with Bean and his Dad and now Archie starting in the business!) here in the Cotswolds, so apples have always been part of our story. They are where our journey began and what continues to inspire us every day. We know the care, patience, and pride that go into growing a perfect crop, and we work closely with local farmers who share that same passion for quality and the land.
From those orchards to our family farm, we see Apple Day as a moment to celebrate what we love most about our work: the people, the fruit, and the countryside that bring it all together.

Here in the Cotswolds, we are lucky to be surrounded by orchards that have been cared for by local families for generations. These are the farmers who know every row of trees, who rise early to check the fruit, and who watch the seasons shape each harvest. We are proud to work alongside them and to showcase their apples in every bottle we make.
We believe that great juice starts with great relationships. By sourcing directly from nearby growers, we can choose the best British apples when they are at their peak. You will often find Gala, Braeburn, and Jonagold in our juices, each one adding its own character and depth. Every variety tells a little part of our shared story.
