Bake Your Own Apple Cider Doughnuts
This week we've decided to get back in the kitchen and experiment with our Apple Eccentric English Apple Cider in this great recipe!

Who knew baking doughnuts could be so easy... and Cider doughnuts could be so tasty! 

So where to start...

- 225g All purpose flour
- 1 1/4 tsp Baking powder
- 3/4 tsp Fine salt
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Grated nutmeg
- 225g Unsalted Butter (room temperature)
- 165g Brown sugar
- 150g Granulated sugar
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 120ml Bensons Apple cider

Now lets get to it! 

Firstly, pour yourself a glass of our Bensons Apple Cider, to taste...

...Now on to the How...

Heat oven to 150 •c. Lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin).
In a medium bowl, add flour, baking powder, salt, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and nutmeg and whisk to combine. Set aside.
In a bowl, cream 140g butter, the brown sugar and 50g granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time and mix well before beating in the vanilla extract.
Add the flour mixture gradually until well mixed. Once mixed, add the apple cider in a slowly until consistent.
Spoon the batter into prepared muffin tin, filling them about 2/3 of the way. You may want to use a piping bag to get a circular shape. 
Bake until evenly golden brown, approx 15 minutes. Rotate the pans halfway through baking.
While the doughnuts bake, whisk the remaining 100g granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon together in a small bowl.
In a separate small bowl, melt the remaining butter in the microwave.
Once out of the oven, let the doughnuts cool for 5 minutes before removing from the pans.
While still warm, brush with the melted butter and dredge them in the cinnamon sugar while they are still warm.
